Welcome to the virtual laser ablation (LA) inductively coupled plasma (ICP) mass spectrometry (MS) laboratory, or virtual LA-ICP-MS lab for short. The aim of the virtual LA-ICP-MS lab is to give an experience regarding the steps that scientists take when using the instrument to analyse the compositions of volcanic glasses that have been retrieved from the seafloor.
