Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

Mismatch in the number of items displayed

The number of items displayed in the dropdown menu where users can display popular, favourite or recently visited activities within each laboratory, does not sometimes match with the number announced by screen readers. This can confuse screen reader users. This fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.3.1 Info and Relationship (level A). This issue will be resolved by April 2027.

Inconsistent labelling

The dropdown menu where users can display popular, favourite or recently visited activities within each laboratory, does not have a consistent label. The label changes dynamically based on selections made by the user on the page. This impacts assistive technology users. This fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 2.4.6 Headings and Labels (level AA). This issue will be resolved by April 2027.

Unclear labelling

On booking a slot in the booking system, the button to cancel a booking is labelled ‘Cancel Booking’. It is not clear from the label which booking one is cancelling, as the date and time of the booking is not referenced in the label. This impacts assistive technology users. This fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 2.4.6 Headings and Labels (level AA). This issue will be resolved by April 2027.
